North Tahoe High School is located at the end of Polaris Road in the Highlands subdivision. For rental information contact the Recreation office at 583-3796 x29.

Lake Forest Public Boat Ramp

Lake Tahoe Public Access Boat Ramp provides (weather permiting) 24 hour access to Lake Tahoe and is located 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City, off Highway 28 on Lake Forest Road.

For other available boat launching facilities, please contact the various marina's around the Lake such as Obexer and Sand Harbor.

The launch area has been remodeled as of Summer 2003. It has been a long time coming and greatly enhances the boating opportunities in the future. The new facility provides more safety to the boaters and reduced wave action on the boats being launched or removed from the water. The pier project cost approximately $865,000. The Wildlife Conservation Board has provided 100% of the project funding. User fees fund the operation and maintenance of the facility so that there is no financial burden to the local tax payer.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
