Lake Forest

 

Lake Forest Public Boat Ramp

Lake Tahoe Public Access Boat Ramp is located 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City, off Highway 28 on Lake Forest Road.

The fee to launch your boat is $10. All vessels must be pre-inspected at one of the offsite TRPA inspection sites with a Tahoe band prior to launching. For more information on TRPA's boat inspections and fees go to Tahoe Boat Inspections You can also call 1-888-824-6267.

For other available boat launching facilities, please contact the various marina's around the Lake such as Obexer's and Sand Harbor.


Winter Hours of Operation
6:00 am to 4:00 pm
October 1 through May 14

Boat Ramp Flyer

The ramp is closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day

Snow Closures

If 1 to 3 inches of snow is predicted the ramp will open at 9:00 am. If 4 or more inches are predicted, the ramp will not open that day.

Lake Forest Campground

Located 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City off Highway 28 on Lake Forest Road, Lake Forest Campground's 20 campsites are available on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis. The fee is $20 per night with limit of 10 consecutive days.

The campground is officially closed for the winter and will open again in May of 2012, weather permitting.

Pomin Park

Pomin Park is located adjacent to the Lake Forest Campground and Boat Ramp. This park boasts a large athletic field, a children's playground, a batting cage, a picnic area and restroom. Popular activities include baseball and soccer programs. Limited parking is available.
