Although both Tahoe Cedars and Madden Creek Water Systems are in operational condition, there are several improvements the TCPUD plans to make in the coming years. These improvements will focus on increased fire protection/suppression capability, decreased water loss from leaks, and the installation of water meters. The estimated timeline for these system improvements is as follows:

• Summer/Fall 2018 – Interconnection of Tahoe Cedars to TCPUD’s McKinney Quail water system
• Spring/Summer 2019 – Interconnection of Madden Creek to TCPUD’s McKinney Quail water system
• 2018-2019 Water system master plan and meter plan
• 2019-2021 – Master plan implementation
