Public Utility District
As a part of this project, will you:
The purpose of this survey is to identify certain equipment and/or connections that you may have in your home or condo that could have an adverse effect on our water supply and could create a hazardous condition within your home. Based upon your survey responses, you may be asked to install one or more backflow prevention assemblies on your property and have these assemblies tested on an annual basis. All costs associated with the installation and testing of these assemblies are the sole responsibility of the property owner. California law requires that potentially hazardous services are protected with a backflow prevention assembly
Current Fire Codes require the installation of a fire sprinkler system for all new residences. Fire sprinkler systems are required for certain existing residences when additional square footage is constructed and certain criteria are met. For more information regarding residential or commercial requirements, contact your local Fire Protection District.
If any of the conditions below apply, you must complete the “Water Service with Fire Sprinkler System – FORM F” and attain signed approval from the local Fire Protection District, prior to submitting plans to the TCPUD.
If you are unfamiliar with any of the District specifications regarding water and sewer installation, please contact the Technical Services Department at (530) 580-6281. You may pick up a set of specifications at the District office.
